The Visa trip
I just got back from a trip to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia's capital city) with Nicole and Aka, it was a relaxing trip. Except that I got this major gastric pain that hit me for 3 straight day while Aka having major issues for searching his passport and car keys. Eventually Nic did help Aka to find his passport which he left in the car. As for me, for almost 3 days, i am force to be teetotal. But i surrender myself to a bottle of French wine. Anyway, here's some summary of what i did. Before i left out my thank you note, Thanks to Aka for driving me and Nic and thanks to Aaron for letting us to crash in his room.
I did some shopping, which i swear i didn't plan it. Bought a Burberry skirt and pants, guess how much i paid for those two. RM36 (that's about USD10), well i got it at a so called branded outlet, who cares if it's a replica or a real pieces with cut off label, if it's fit nicely and hide away my beer belly and love handles. I'm taking these baby home. Gosh, i'm becoming a "cheapo"
Went to a Movie, Flight Plan starring by Jodie Foster. Overall, this is the movie for those who have too much time to kill while waiting for someone at the KLCC shopping mall. Even tough i'm not impress with the movie, it's not as dreadful as the movie Red Eyes that i watched earlier. What was i thinking? What a waste of money and time. What can i said, Malaysia cinema could only show mainstream movie, the more Hollywood style movies the better. The independence movie have such a niche market for local. Wish that someday our movie market will accept and learn to appreciate foreign and non mainstream movies. To be sure i don't suffer in the cinema for hours just to finish up some trashy movie, next time i'll learn to check on the movie review and movie preview before I agree to watch the movie with my homey.

A laid back sunday afternoon. A hang out buddy, Gigi (who is a low profile drinker who refuse to be in the limelight). A bottle of chilled white wine(Despite the fact that i'm a Carb. and Shiraz buff, this French white wine is pretty impressive). A plate of crackers. a plate of cheese. a plate of chicken sausages. Take a sip of the cooling wine and have a bit of the cracker with cheese spreading....mmm....close my eyes and take a deep breath...that's what I called a California sunday at Hartamas Square. All of a sudden, life is great. Gigi, thanks for recalling our fun memories at the Napa Valley.
If you are ever drop by Hartamas area, I highly recommend this little deli called LeDeli, it's next to Coffee Bean. It's a nice cozy area where you can purchase a bottle of your favorite wine and for those meat lover, they serve pretty good variety of sausages and ham ( we even saw the chinese sausage on top of the counter). Price for the wine is reasonable, and the best part: no corkage fees.
Despite all the gastric pain and passport issue, we have fun, especially for the two love bird, Nic and Aaron. We stay at K.L. longer than we thought due to some visa application matter. I'm so glad Aka get his 10 Years visa, Hurray! Wondering when will be my turn.
